Patricia

Hi,
My name is Patricia. I studied here in Thomas for six years then I stopped studying English for two years. So, I realized that it was necessary to improve my English skills. Then I came back to study and learn more. Also, I study accountancy (at UnB-Universidade de Brasília) and in this profession it`s good to have knowlegde in this language. I`m a trainee in Infraero( It`s a company that take care of the airport here in Brazil) here in Brasilia and I love to work there.

Gabriella

Hi, my name is Gabriella Maya. I`m 20 years old. I`m studying biology. Now I`m working with biological diversity. however my dream is to be a vet and one day I will try to be. I really like to dance. I did flamenco for many years and I love Spanish culture. Another thing that I like a lot is to go out to see a movie and make new friends.
Last year I went to Argentina and I visited Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Bariloche And Mendoza. All these places are really beautiful but I loved Bariloche and Ushuaia!
Well, that is all. I hope to hear from you soon!
bye!!

Luciano

Hello there, folks!

I'm Luciano, 19, I study Computer Science at University of Brasília (UnB) and I'm at fourth semester right now.

I love learning new languages and, because of that, since I was a child I've studied English, Spanish, Italian, Esperanto and, recently, Japanese. About the English, I spent a few years at High School without any contact with the language besides the regular subject at school. So, when I joined UnB I had the necessity to recover my rusty English. Then I got into Thomas and started speaking again.

However, the greatest gift I got in Thomas was not the improvement of my English but specially the contact with many people with whom I had a lot to learn. For example, by accident, I met Prof. Celius, who is a very famous math professor at UnB and who, otherwise, I would only meet in the role of the scaried student who doesn't want to fail the test. I've also met Ludmila, who is a Ph.D in biology and always bring us interesting facts about nature. And Laura, an fun loving "baiana" who is getting Master's degree in literature.

About me, I love computing but, surprisily, I have not patience to spend hours and hours in front of PC, unless I'm programming some new algoritmum. I intend to take Master's and Ph.D degrees in Japan, what explains why I study English and Japanese. My probable speciality will by game development, which I love more than anything in computer science.

When I'm not killing myself to pass a test at UnB, I like to go out with friends just to take some beer, dance, date, talk about life, whatever... But, sometimes, I just stay at home and read and a good book or watch some movie.

Anyway, this small introduction is becoming an essay, so, I'll stop here.

See you, guys!

My introduction!

Hello! My name is Louise and I started learning english in the U.S. I only came to CTJ 3 years after i came back, when i felt like i was forgetting what i had learnt. I study architecture here in Brasília and if any of you is interested in architecture i would be happy to talk and learn more about it too!

Laura Castro

Hello, folks! This blog is a goog idea, isn't it? I'm glad to be here interecting with you. I'm from Bahia but I live here since 1996. I'm 23 years old and I like to study english, but I think that I should study more. I'm very lazzy! I speak spanish too, not too much, but enought. I like it very much, it's a beautiful language.
So, I do master in Literature in University of Brasília, where I also used to study in my graduation. My project is in literature and other arts, and I investigate about the relations of literature, theatre and television, in the Maria Adelaide Amaral's produtions, a recognized brazilian author. I'm an actor too... actually, this is the best part of my life. I have a theatre group in UnB and every year we create a new play. I have a part-time job too, in a highschool, as a composition tutor. In my free time I love to drink a beer with my friends or do some culture program like cinema, theatre or music event. I also love travel! This year I went to Havana, in Cuba, and it was an amazing trip. Next year, in my middle year voccations I'm planinng go to Buenos Aires. So, please, give me tips, ok? :)
